A vehicle has become airborne and ploughed into a South Morang building this afternoon.
The Whittlesea Leader is unable to confirm whether anyone has been injured in the accident, which occurred near the intersection of Plenty and Gorge roads.
South Morang resident Ken Harris, who spoke to the Leader from the scene, said the green Mitsubishi sedan came to rest against the side of the Mill Park Adult Training and Support Service building and its back bumper was still about one metre off the ground.
He believed the female driver had been freed from the vehicle, while a passenger also managed to get out.
Mr Harris said there were about a dozen emergency services vehicles including police, ambulance and fire brigades at the scene.
The vehicle has been propped up to prevent it from falling.
The area has been plunged into traffic chaos with long delays expected.
